Hello there! First of all, thanks for visiting. I will use this space to post my ideas, to communicate with others, and show the design and development stages of my projects.
To start, I will tell you a bit about myself. My name is Natasha Barreto. I was born and raised in the city of Fortaleza, Brazil. I got my Bachelor Degree in Communications from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). I came to the U.S. for the first time 3 years ago, as an undergrad exchange student to University of Georgia (UGA). I had a wonderful experience and decided to continue my studies at UGA, so then I enrolled in the Instructional Design and Development master’s program in the College of Education. I feel extremely lucky to be at UGA and I am enjoying every step of the way.
My professional experience has been quite diverse. I have been a tour guide, english tutor, marketing strategist, illustrator, and an educational resources designer among other things. Of all the things I have done, I liked working with educational media the best. It is just so rewarding to work on something that will help someone besides yourself.
Besides all of the above:
I like salads if they are “meat salads”. I enjoy working in teams and building a good relationship with my colleagues. I have to have a cup of coffee in the mornings and sometimes another one in the afternoon. I love videogames, geek gadgets, and TV shows of questionable quality. I dislike reading fiction books and try to avoid flying as much as I can. Against all odds, I work on a PC and my software is Adobe’s Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Photoshop.
